You may have noticed we’ve made a few changes here at Coffeehouse Five. We hope you are as excited as we are!
We have always been about building a stronger community one cup of coffee (or smoothie, or pastry) at a time, and that includes creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Before our renovation we noticed an interesting split in our customers; some were coming to study or meet a friend in a quiet traditional coffeehouse space, while others were inviting all their friends (thank you!) to have big meetings/get togethers.
But our space is relatively small and not suited to cater to these two unique customer types, so we decided it was time for a change!
With more small tables and new bar area seating fully outfitted with plenty of outlets to go around, our front area will be the perfect spot to hit the books or meet up with a friend or two to catch up over a cup of our Direct-Trade coffee.
What was previously our Worship Space (and will still be on Sundays at 11) will now have larger tables available for groups larger than four people to rent for just $10, to chat and enjoy without music or worrying about groups eying their table, for as long as they please.
Now we feel like we can be completely honest with everyone, because we have some of the best customers around. It isn’t our favorite thing to charge a table price but we felt it necessary to make sure everyone is getting what they want out of Coffeehouse Five. The simple fact is that the larger the group, the less likely everyone in the group actually wants to purchase something. And we can’t afford to stay in business if our larger tables are all taken up while potential customers walk in and out of the door because there is nowhere to sit.
With this change, we believe everyone can enjoy their time at Coffeehouse Five, to finish up that paper for class in peace, meet a friend for a quiet tête–à–tête, or gather six or seven long lost friends to catch up over muffins and mochas.
We couldn’t do any of this without your support and we truly appreciate each of our customers. Thanks for supporting local and supporting us as we all work to make our community stronger!
It's been one year since the re-launch of Coffeehouse Five Church on Sunday evenings. So we thought that an appropriate occasion to celebrate with a meal together. Thanks to everyone who has supported us on this journey of pursuing Christ and serving our community. Hope to see many more of you in the coming year on Sundays at 5 pm in the Coffeehouse!
