Staff Barista
We are currently seeking staff baristas at all three of our locations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Baristas are the face of Coffeehouse Five and as such are critical to our success as the premier independent coffee shop in Johnson County. You will be responsible for interacting with customers in a kind and positive way, taking and fulfilling coffee and food orders accurately and efficiently, and ensuring positive customer experiences by maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the café and taking pride in your work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Coffee shop experience is helpful but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Hours from 15-35 per week. Starting at $10/hour plus tip sharing once fully trained. Paid holidays.

- Who Take Responsibility: willing to “own” their time in the coffeehouse and look for ways to solve problems as they arise rather than expect others to do so
- Morning and afternoon availability
- Saturday availability
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver excellent hospitality to every person that walks through our doors
- Understand and show enthusiasm for the mission of Coffeehouse Five and our support of the community
- Keep all areas of the cafe professional, clean, and organized
- Accurately take orders and ring them into the POS
- Prepare and craft coffee, espresso drinks and food orders consistently and to Coffeehouse Five standards
- Communicate any and all relevant information to leads, shift supervisors, and fellow baristas in a respectful manner
- Follow written and verbal instructions efficiently and accurately
- Be knowledgeable of coffee, espresso drinks and food offerings, as well as any special promotions
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines with care
- Be efficient, use/prioritize time wisely
- Use problem solving skills and be able and willing to go above and beyond when the team needs it
- Be obsessive about quality
